BlackMarket Underdog Feature: Beau Bramblett

Redefining Strength

“I am not the best looking, strongest, most ripped guy out there. I do not have a six pack but I am working hard every single day to be the best that I can possibly be.”

Beau Bramblett before and after

Oftentimes, you don’t know how strong you are until you hit rock bottom.  At 19, Beau Bramblett was at an all-time low.  The young Illinois native had struggled with his weight for several months.  Weighing in at 412 pounds, Bramblett often sported 4x apparel.  Physical pounds weren’t the only things weighing him down, however; he also frequently struggled with clinical anxiety and depression.  As these challenges continued to mount, Bramblett knew something had to give.  “Honestly I was just tired of being the person I was,” he admits. “I was unhealthy, depressed, and knew it was time for a change.” But that change didn’t come without effort.

Humble Beginnings
Beau started making the gym a regular part of his routine, going 5 days a week.  At first, working out was painstakingly difficult, especially since his desired results seemed slow in coming. Bramblett recalls, “I didn’t notice changes in my body actually for a while when I started working out. I was in the same 4x clothing for 6 months into my weight loss. It was discouraging, but there was no way I was going to give up.”

Beau realized that in order to progress in this uphill journey, he needed to add something to his routine.  That was when the supplement industry caught his attention.  For several months, he tried several different pre-workouts but saw few results in his physique.

Every Underdog Has His Day
Then, one day, Bramblett was visiting his local supplement shop picking up a few different things when he saw BlackMarket Labs pre-workout supplements.  Bramblett says, “No other pre-workout I took really did anything for me and I decided to try AdreNOlyn CUTS.”

BlackMarket AdreNOlyn CUTS, combined with his diligence at the gym, proved to be the key to Beau’s workout success.  “AdreNOlyn CUTS has tremendously affected my workouts,” he says. “From back when I first started to just get on cardio to now me pushing myself for up to two hour workouts. It gives me clean focus and energy.”

From a year and a half ago, when he started his gym regimen, to present, Beau has seen incredible results.  From his starting weight, he has dropped 204 pounds. Some of the most inspiring results, though, are the changes he has seen in his self-image.  “I can say I am truly happy with the way I look,” says Bramblett.  “I know I am not perfect, but I am healthy and I love what I do.  I don’t think self-image is really what’s on the outside but what’s on the inside, though.  I believe you just have to love yourself.”

“Stay the Course and Success Will Follow”
Even with his already incredible accomplishments, Beau is continuing to make goals for the future.  In addition to his goal to add more muscle while staying lean, he wants to help others achieve their fitness goals.  Beau has found that BlackMarket’s motto, “we embrace the underdog” is something that really speaks to him. To him, an underdog is “someone who might be in a difficult spot in life, or who has someone telling them they can’t do something, but they don’t listen to that; they don’t let that affect them.  They know they can do anything they set their mind to.”

Beau’s goal is to help those who may be struggling with fitness to develop this mindset. His advice to underdogs everywhere is: “Don’t give up. The results will come. It takes time, and it takes dedication. Stay the course and success will follow.”

Get to Know Beau

Q: What is your favorite workout?
A: “Squats. Because when I first started I couldn’t squat even the bar and it’s always been challenging for me. It’s something that took a lot of time to learn and now I love it. In the last six months I've went from 135 to 315.”

Q: Who do you look up to?
A: “The person I look up to most is my mom. She’s the hardest working woman I've ever meet in my life. There was at one point in our life she was working three jobs just to feed us. She taught me to never give up.”

Q: Do you listen to music while working out? If so, what songs motivate you at the gym?
A: “Oh, yes. I'm usually a country guy, but in the gym I need my rap and rock. Eminem always gets my hype, but I’ve been listening to a lot of MGK and Kevin Gates.”

Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of the gym?
A: “Outside of the gym I really am not that exciting of a person. I just go to school, go to the gym, do homework, and watch Netflix.”

Q: What is your favorite BlackMarket product?
A: “AdreNOlyn CUTS.”
